Bushwick Bill's Son On Willie D's Comments, Continuing Father's Legacy

Bushwick Bill's son, Javon Boutte isn't paying much mind to Geto Boys' Willie D's comments surrounding his late father.

In a controversial interview with VladTV, Willie D went on record to say he didn't attend Bushwick's funeral because they did not like each other. Willie also discussed Bushwick's alleged drug & alcohol addiction in the interview.

In a recent interview with HipHopDX, Boutte who also goes by Young Knxw says a lot of Willie D's comments were "invalid".

"I didn't take heed to him or acknowledge him at all," said Boutte. "I just basically saw a lot of things that were not facts."

Boutte went on to discuss his dad's health around the time of the Geto Boys 'The Beginning Of A Long Goodbye Tour'.

"My dad was so sick, but he was literally just trying to put shows together and work. Right after chemo sessions, he'd head straight to the studio. I was in the studio with him for like 23 hour sessions. While I was falling asleep tired, he'd get on me and be like 'You got to be up. We got to work.' He was determined to finish that project. The man barely slept," Boutte told HipHopDx.

The day before the Geto Boys reunion tour was set to begin, Bushwick cancelled the tour. He knew he would have died on the road, said Boutte.

"The Geto Boys reunion tour was going to start May 24," Boutte said. "My dad was admitted to the hospital May 23 in Texas. He could barely walk. Basically, he got walking pneumonia from chemo. They gave my dad chemo on top of pneumonia, which made him even sicker."

Boutte wants his father's legacy to remain positive and wishes Willie D "peace within". Boutte plans to finish music he and his father were working on along with creating a Bushwick Bill documentary.

"There were so many things my dad was doing before he passed that he couldn't finish. I'm gonna focus on making sure my legacy and my whole family's legacy my dad created is going to continue in a positive manner, which he worked hard for 30 plus years to do," said Boutte.
