Bobby Brown and the estate of his daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, have filed a lawsuit against Showtime Networks, the BBC and other defendants in New York federal court. The suit alleges footage of Brown and Bobbi Kristina were used in the 2017 Whitney Houston documentary, “Can I Be Me?” without Brown’s consent.
According to the complaint, Brown – Houston’s ex-husband - never signed or executed a release for the airing of the footage, which was approximately 15 years old. Brown also claims he did not consent to allow footage of Bobbi Kristina and his other children to be used in the film. He is seeking more than $2-million dollars in damages.
