A McDonalds in Lynwood, California is drawing attention after people spotted the restaurant's iconic golden arches flipped upside down to a W instead. Not going to lie, being that this was done in Cali, we thought it stood for "Westside," but nope, the company is making a great statement.
McDonald's global chief diversity officer, Wendy Lewis, said flipping the iconic arches is to celebrate women everywhere on International Women's Day on Thursday.
The restaurant chain says they'll have special packaging and crew uniforms at 100 locations nationwide.
