Ron Kramer bought Donna chocolates from Buffett's Candies, a local sweets shop, for Valentines Day in 1979. He found out that the shop would refill the box every year, only charging for the candy inside. It was then that Ron began refilling the same heart-shaped box with chocolates from the same candy store for Valentine's Day every year. 39 years later, Ron is still practicing the tradition, despite how many changes their lives have gone through, especially since Donna was diagnosed with dementia in 2014. Although her memory is fading, she still remembers the sweet tradition.
