Earlier this year, it was reported that JAY-Z was partnering with the Weinstein Company to create a Trayvon Martin docu-series. Though Harvey Weinstein is no longer with the company, the project is still being produced.
Insert George Zimmerman. In an interview with The Blast, Zimmerman -- who was controversially acquitted of the murder of 17-year-old Martin in 2013 -- said that the documentary's production team has been "harassing" his family members for interviews. Apparently, the production team showed up to their homes uninvited.
Angered by these unwanted visits, Zimmerman threatened to "beat up" the men behind the project, JAY-Z and its executive producer Michael Gasparro. The infamous bad guy said, “I know how to handle people who f**k with me, I have since February 2012.” Zimmerman added that “anyone who f***s with my parents will be fed to an alligator.”
Snoop Dogg decided to chime in on Instagram when he saw this threat. See that below.
