According to data compiled by QuoteWizard, Sacramento holds the number one spot for the worst drivers in the United States.
The city has the highest rate of traffic citations in the country and is close to the top for accidents and DUIs, at No. 4 in those categories, according to the report. The rankings of the best and worst drivers in the country came as a sum of weighted means calculated by looking at number of accidents, speeding tickets, DUIs and citations, such as running a red light and using a cellphone while driving.
Salt Lake City came in at No. 2, and Riverside rounded out the top 3. San Diego (No. 5), Los Angeles (No. 6) and Bakersfield (No. 10) also made the top 10 for cities with the worst drivers.
Turning to the best drivers in the nation, Detroit (No. 1), Providence, Rhode Island (No. 2) and Orlando topped that list.
