Bubble RUN Sacramento 2017! Saturday at 8:00am at Cal Expo Fairgrounds. Participants run, walk, dance and play across 5 Kilometers (3.1 miles) of absolute fun! Waves start every 3-5 minutes, then at each kilometer participants will run through the Bubble Bogs where there is enough colored foam to cover you from head to toe! We're all about maximum fun, and with that comes a few simple rules:  Rule 1: All levels of runners, walkers, twirlers, dancers and strollers are welcome to the Bubble Run™, but follow the announcer's instructions at all times! Rule 2: Wear white for maximum (washable) color exposure!

Join Councilmember Steve Hansen for Sacramento's Pride Parade and Festival! Saturday, 11:00am-5pm. The celebration promotes LGBT acceptance and pride with a parade followed by an outdoor party in the Capital Mall.. High-energy live music, a dance pavilion, an activity-rich kid’s zone, local vendors and plenty of food trucks are just some of the many attractions at this day long affair. The parade is free to attend and starts at 11:00 am. The festival costs $10 per person (children 10 and under are free) and is located on Capitol Mall between 3rd and 7th streets and goes from 11am-5pm. The festivities will begin with a parade at 11:00 am. The parade will begin on 3rd and N Street and finish on 10th and N.

Come celebrate Juneteenth Sunday, June 4 at the Davis Veterans Memorial Center located at 203 E 14th St, Davis, CA 95616. Juneteenth, also known as Juneteenth Independence Day or Freedom Day, is a holiday that commemorates the June 19, 1865 announcement of the abolition of slavery in Texas, and more generally the emancipation of African-American slaves throughout the Confederate South. This Free event starts at 1 PM with a potluck so bring a dish to share! There will be vendors, edutainment, displays, information booths and more. We will be having a "Social Justice is Always in Fashion, fashion show along with special guests Darlene Tellis, violinist Kippys Marks and Al Zaid who will be singing some Motown classics. It will be a fabulous day and we look forward to having fun at this family friendly event.
