Former President Donald Trump is expected to launch his 2024 presidential campaign tonight from Florida. The former President teased a potential campaign announcement at several rallies in the final weeks of the midterm elections. Longtime Trump adviser Jason Miller said it'll be a "professional, very buttoned-up announcement."
KFBK News Radio will air the announcement live when it starts at around 6:00pm PST followed by analysis from KFBK's Kitty O'Neal and John McGinness.
Meanwhile, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis isn't saying much about former President Trump ahead of his expected announcement of a third presidential run. However, the Republican governor is contrasting his success with those of Trump-endorsed candidates in last week's midterm elections. Responding to a question about Trump, DeSantis says leadership matters and contrasted the GOP wave in Florida with disappointing results elsewhere. News polls today show many Republican voters torn between who they would support for President between Trump and DeSantis.
