All California State University Campuses Now Require Vaccine By Fall

The California State University system is requiring COVID-19 vaccinations for all faculty, staff and students entering campus facilities starting this fall semester. The vaccine does not have full approval yet by the Food and Drug Administration, but the University system says it's moving forward because of "evolving circumstances." Several CSU campuses are serving as host facilities for vaccine distribution and all vaccinations must be completed by September 30th. There will be a chance for people to submit a medical or religious exemption through their website, but the official set of rules is still waiting for approval from the CSU board. California State University is the largest four-year higher education system in the country, with 23 campuses, 56-thousand faculty and nearly half a million students. The University of California system has already mandated a vaccine requirement for their campuses that also start in the fall.
