This is very sad to report, but according to multiple news outlets and law enforcement, Memphis Rapper Young Dolph was shot and killed in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee Wednesday afternoon. Dolph who's real name is Adolph Robert Thornton, Jr was 36 years old.
According to local TV news station Fox 13 in Memphis, Young Dolph was buying some cookies at Makeda's Butter cookies, a local bakery in south Memphis, when somebody drove up and shot and killed the rapper inside the store.
Photos from the scene shows Young Dolph's Lamborghini was parked in the parking lot of the bakery.
From video and pictures, you can see that a massive crowd gather at the spot where Dolph was killed. Dolph was well respected in Memphis but it he also had some enemies in his hometown as well.
No information about the shooter has been released by law enforcement. An investigation into the shooting is still taking place.
