The hit singing competition show "The Voice" has tapped rap legend Snoop Dogg as season's 20 Mega Mentor. Snoop will be helping out coaches Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Nick Jonas. Uncle Snoop will advise the contestants as they compete in the Knockout Rounds starting on April 19th.
Not only does Big Snoop Dogg becomes the first rapper to hold the title as a mentor on the show, he is also the first rapper to be a producer and performer on the show as well.
The multi-platinum rapper will also lend his hand in helping the singers who were saved during the Battle Rounds. Snoop may not be a singer, but he is a performer and he knows music, so his insight will be highly valuable to the contestants.
You can catch Snoop's Mega Mentor debut Monday, April 19th.
