Nelly is hopping back onto the big screen. In a report by Variety, the 'Hot In Here' rapper will be starring as rock n roll pioneer Chuck Berry in the upcoming Buddy Holly biopic.
The film titled "Clear Lake" tells the story of the legend Buddy Holly and other famous musicians who gave birth to rock n roll in the midst of fighting for civil rights in America in the late 1950s. Nelly will be joining Ruairi O'Connor, Colin Hanks and Diane Guerrero in the forthcoming Bruce Beresford-directed movie.
Acting is not new to the St. Louis rapper. His acting credits includes several appearances on TV shows like CBS's CSI: NY and BET's Real Husbands of Hollywood but he is remembered more for his role as Earl Megget in the 2005 remake of football comedy The Longest Yard.
