There Will Be No Digital Double For Chadwick Boseman In ‘Black Panther 2’

BRITAIN-ENTERTAINMENT-CINEMA

Marvel Studios EVP of Production Victoria Alonso has made it clear that there will not be a digital double used to portray the late actor Chadwick Boseman in the Black Panther sequel. During an interview with the Argentinian magazine "Clarin", Alonso stated that there is "only one Chadwick and he's not with us."

The digital double rumor was swarming around because Disney, parent company to Marvel Studios, has used CGI in the past to resurrect past characters, like they did with Peter Cushing in Rogue One.

Before the sudden and saddening passing of Chadick Boseman from cancer, Marvel Studios planned on shooting the squeal to the blockbuster movie in 2021 with a tentative release date in 2022. So far, it seems as if filming will go on as planned.
