It's suppose to be part of the American Dream, but is it affordable these days?
The AP put out a list of the most and least affordable places to buy a home in the United States and the not so shocking news is that three out of the top five least affordable places to live are in California. Shocking, right?!
San Diego, San Francisco, and San Jose are those three California cities in the top five of least affordable places to live. I have to say, I was surprised to see San Jose in there, I would have never guessed that! I have lived in San Francisco and just recently moved back from San Diego and I can say , I was not surprised to see them on the list.
In the valley the 'RENT'prices are not that far off from San Diego though and that is just crazy to me! In fact, there are a few extra bills here, that it really kinda just evens out.
If you're wondering what are the other two least affordable cities, that would be Honolulu ,Hawaii and Boulder, Colorado.
If you are looking for the most affordable cities to buy a home, then you might want to look at Cumberland, Maryland-West Virginia, Youngstown, Ohio, and Peoria, Illinois. I think I'm ok. ;)
