At least 15 people are dead, 24 are missing and more than 25 are injured after heavy rain sent mud and boulders sliding down hills and knocked several homes off their foundations in southern California on Tuesday. Among those rescued by emergency workers on Tuesday was a 14-year-old girl who was "trapped for hours" in mud-soaked rubble. The rock- and mudslides occurred mainly due to the fact that last month's wildfires stripped so much vegetation off the hills that the homes are located on. Oprah Winfrey's house in Santa Barbara was one of the homes impacted. The media mogul took to Instagram on Tuesday evening to share a video of herself walking in knee-deep mud and looking at the destruction around her.
