How do you butter up your boss? Probably not by presenting him with a folder full of news about himself twice a day. However, VICE reports that President Donald Trump receives just such a folder daily at 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
"The folders are filled with screenshots of positive cable news , admiring tweets, transcripts of fawning TV interviews, praise-filled news stories, and sometimes just pictures of Trump on TV looking powerful," the outlet reports, citing three current and former White House officials. Says one former RNC official, "Maybe it's good for the country that the president is in a good mood in the morning."
And while VICE claims that former staffers Sean Spicer and Reince Preibus used to fight for the privilege of delivering the 20- to 25-page presentation, known internally as the "propaganda document," Spicer told the publication in an email, "While I won't comment on materials we share with the president, this is not accurate on several levels."
