Do You Know Why Iran Protests Are Happening?

I’ve been seeing some really powerful photos and videos from the #IranProtests, so yesterday I took some time to educate myself on what’s happening over in Iran. I was SHOCKED to find out a beautiful woman by the name of #MahsaAmini died in a hospital in #TehranIran after being taken into custody by #GuidancePatrol for wearing her hijab too loosely which allowed for some of her hair to show.

Here is where it gets wild, the police took her to the hospital because they said she suffered a heart attack while at the police station after she collapsed and fell into a coma. However, apparently, witnesses including other women who were detained with her are saying that she was severely beaten and died in the hospital as a result of police brutality. This is what has sparked the recent Iran protest today filled with women coming together who are against Iran’s regime.
