Young Thug performed at a free concert in front of the courthouse where his infamous YSL RICO trial was held.
On Sunday, September 28, the Atlanta native took to social media and posted a flyer for a surprise show. His "Live From Atlanta" show, which was livestreamed via YouTube and Twitch, took place on the steps of the Lewis R. Slaton Courthouse, which is where he and his co-defendants spent most of their time last year during the YSL RICO trial. During the show, Thug performed a handful of songs that appear on his new album UY SCUTI for the first time live.
The entire block in front of the courthouse was blocked off for the concert, which was full of Thugger's fans. Young Thug opened the impromptu show with "RIP Big & Mack" followed by other songs like "Whaddup Jesus," "Blaming Jesus" and "Catch Me I'm Falling." The brief concert continued with beloved tracks like "Ski" and "Digits" before closing out with "F**king Told You."
Young Thug held the concert nearly one year after he was released from custody following the historic trial. Thugger was initially banned from entering the Atlanta Metro area as part of his supervised release. However, a judge overturned that condition following an amendment that was approved in December.
Since his release, Young Thug has hit the ground running. He's performed at festivals like Lyrical Lemonade's Summer Smash and dropped his new album UY SCUTI. The 20-track LP features the lead single "Money On Money" featuring Future, as well as other collaborations with Lil Baby, YFN Lucci, Lil Gotit, Cardi B, Sexyy Red, T.I., 21 Savage and more.
