This University Is The 'Best Value School' In California

U.S. News & World Report has released its 2022 Best Colleges rankings and list. One of their reports revealed the "best value schools" in the country, which lists colleges and universities that offer students the best value. They determined that by taking "into account a school's academic quality, as indicated by its 2022 U.S. News Best Colleges ranking, and the 2020-2021 net cost of attendance for an out-of-state student who received the average level of need-based financial aid. The higher the quality of the program and the lower the cost, the better the deal."

One California college managed to make it to the list: Stanford University (No. 9). Here's what U.S. News & World Report had to say about the prestigious university:

"Stanford University is a private institution that was founded in 1885. It has a total undergraduate enrollment of 6,366 (fall 2020), its setting is suburban, and the campus size is 8,180 acres. It utilizes a quarter-based academic calendar. Stanford University's ranking in the 2022 edition of Best Colleges is National Universities, #6. Its tuition and fees are $56,169."

  2. Massachusetts Institute of Technology
  3. Harvard University
  4. Princeton University
  5. Rice University
  6. Brigham Young University
  7. Columbia University
  8. Vanderbilt
  9. Stanford University
  10. University of North Carolina
