Kehlani Announces New 'Blue Water Road' Album Dropping This Winter

Kehlani has new music on the way.

The "Nights Like This" artist took to social media on Tuesday (September 14) to announced their new album Blue Water Road, the follow-up to 2020's It Was Good Until It Wasn't. The album doesn't have a set release date yet, but it will be released sometime this winter.

"Blue Water Road," they wrote, sharing a trailer for the upcoming album. "the album. coming this winter. welcome to my world."

The one-minute video features the singer slowly walking down a gravel road on an injured leg, accompanied by orchestral music, per Billboard. As they look around, a dragonfly appears, landing in their outstretched hands before a spark causes it to burst in flames. As a darkness rises up from the ground, enveloping the singer, the album title appears.

Kehlani later took to Twitter to say they were "coming out of the rubble of It Was Good Until It Wasn't and into the light, on to the road," adding, "let's have fun."

Blue Water Road will be Kehlani's third studio album. The singer's debut album, SweetSexySavage, dropped in 2017, followed by their sophomore record It Was Good Until It Wasn't last year.
