Serena Williams just won her first major title since giving birth to her child, and she’s donating her prize money to a good cause. Serena took downJessica Pegula 6-3 and 6-4 in the singles final ASB Classic in Auckland, New Zealand.
Following the match, Mrs.Alexis Ohanian brought Alexis Olympia on the court. “It feels good. It’s been a long time,” she said. “I’ve been waiting two years for this moment. I think you could see the relief on my face. You have to be your biggest cheerleader, especially if you’re feeling you’re not doing everything right — or even if you are doing everything right but things aren’t working out for you.”
And what made it even more special was that Serena donated the $43-thousand dollar prize money to Australian bushfire relief.
