Woman Donates Kidney to Her Homecoming Prince 40 Years Later #GoodNews

In 1977, Vitaliano Salera and Rose Valenzuela were crowned Santa Ana Valley High School’s Homecoming Prince and Princess.

They lost touch for decades, until Vitaliano married Rose's best friend.

But 40 years after their homecoming triumph, Rose saved Vitaliano’s life by donating her kidney to him after he was diagnosed with end-stage renal disease.

The pair spoke about this happy ending and how they hope their storybook tale inspires others.
