Losing your pet is the worst and when it happened to Carole King while she was on vacation, she quit her job to search for her missing pooch. The Washington state woman was in Montana when her beloved border collie, Katie, escaped from a hotel. She was desperate to find the dog, even quitting her job as a postal worker to stay and look.
After 57 long days, King got the call she had been hoping for. A man saw one of the hundreds of posters she put up and had spotted Katie. King says, “Tears were flying, we were screaming, everybody is high-fiving, and hugging each other.”
Katie was severely dehydrated and had lost 12 pounds during her time away, but she’s expected to make a full recovery.
