Lamar Odom Reacts on Being Dropped By Ice Cube's BIG3

Lamar Odomwas “deactivated” from the BIG3 basketball league and the former NBA baller says he’s “extremely disappointed” by the decision. According to Odom, he first heard about the news like everyone else – on social media. Apparently, he was dropped after playing one game reportedly due to “health issues.” According to Ice Cube, “As a league, we want players that are actually playing. So if you aren’t playing, or can’t play, or you have any health issues, BIG3 doesn’t have room for you.”

After Cube made that statement, Lamar hopped on IG to explain his side. “I am extremely disappointed with the way that this has been handled. Besides the embarrassment, it’s disappointing to read on IG that this decision had been made, especially without sharing it with myself or my manager,” he writes. “Only after I heard from the media, I was then told that the big boys cutting checks decided that they had to deactivate me with no real specific explanation.” As for his health issues, Odom says, “I’ve been 100 percent transparent about my condition before signing the contract, but at that point, it wasn’t an issue.”

The ex-Mr .Khloé Kardashian added that he has much respect for Ice Cube and the league. He wants his supporters to know he’s “worked very hard to make a comeback” and “no rejection” can stop him. Sources close to the BIG3 league claim the execs“made multiple attempts” to reach Odom before publicly announcing his deactivation “but they never got a response.”
