Good Samaritans Return Cash From Atlanta Armored Truck Crash #GoodNews

Drivers on I-285 in Atlanta were surprised when an armored truck’s side door flew open and cash started flying out onto the road.

Lots of people stopped to pick up the cash and thought it was their lucky day, but after police warned that they could face charges for scooping up the bills, some of them have had a change of heart.

A total of $175,000 flew out of a GardaWorld truck and now thousands of dollars of it are being turned in to police by honest drivers. The Dunwoody Police Department says $4,600 had been brought in so far, with $2,100 coming from one guy alone.

“The news said that it’s theft — it’s stealing — it’s a crime and you must turn it in so I have to,” explainsRandrell Lewis, who returned the large sum.
