Former Homeless Man Helps Open Food Truck To Feed Those In Need #GoodNews

Food trucks are everywhere these days, but Johnny’s Wagon in Louisville, Kentucky isn’t your typical food truck. The people who line up to get fried fish sandwiches and cold drinks here are homeless and not too long ago,Johnny Goode, the man in the kitchen, was in their shoes.

Johnny spent years living on the streets and that’s where he metScott Goldbach, founder of Daily Armor Ministries. Over the years, the men formed a bond and when the organization decided to start a mobile kitchen, Goldbach says he knew Johnny was the man for the job. They made the food truck happen thanks to grants and now they’re serving food to the folks who really need it and Johnny is back on his feet with an apartment of his own. He says, “I just thank God everyday that I found my purpose in life.”
