A toddler who disappeared from his rural Kentucky home Sunday has been found alive and in “remarkably good condition,” according to authorities.
Kenneth Howard, who’s not quite two-years-old, was outside with his father in the family’s Salyersville yard when the dad turned around for a minute and the little boy was gone, according to the Magoffin County Rescue Squad.
Kentucky State Police report the tot was found less than a mile from his house at an old strip mine when someone in the search party heard him crying. Despite being out on his own for a few days, Kenneth is doing well and is being treated for dehydration. AFacebook postfrom the Magoffin County Sheriff’s Department reads: “This is the best news ever!!!”
