Akon considering running for president with Mark Zuckerberg as VP

Watch out Kanye! Akon has publicly announced he's considering running for president in the 2020 election against Donald Trump.

Akon recently took a step back from his music career to focus on other business ventures and now politics! Akon has been praised for the work he's done with his solar-panel initiative which has brought electricity to several communities in Africa. The 'Smack That' singer also founded 'Akoin', a form of cryptocurrency. 

Akon has openly talked about his political plans and opinions. In a recent interview with Newsweek, he talked more candidly about his political plans, saying:

"I've been thinking about running for 2020 very seriously. But I didn't want to just do it because I feel like I want to continue doing what I'm doing and hope that builds me enough momentum [for people] to say, "You know what, if you run we'll support you."

Akon went on to discuss his opinions on Trump's America. When talking with Newsweek he said Trump's presidency has made him feel "unsafe", "unempowered" and "uncomfortable."

Akon told TMZ he would love to be able to debate Trump back in March. He also revealed he would have Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg, as his VP in the 2020 election! Watch the full conversation below:
