Hwy 1 in Big Sur Shut Down Due to Massive Landslide

One million tons of rock are covering a big portion of Highway 1 in Big Sur. That's a 40 foot layer of rock that's hurting tourism and has also cost an estimated  $1 billion in damage. 

There is no estimate on when it might reopen.
