Kanye West has been making money moves and we didn't even realize it. According to Bloomberg, The 43-year-old Rapper, Producer, Fashion Designer and Businessman net worth is estimated to be $6.6 billion. Making him the richest Black person in American history, surpassing Robert Smith .
Bloomberg attributes Kanye's wealth to his partnerships with Adidas and Gap, which brings in around $3 billion and close to $5 billion. Bloomberg estimates his music catalog to be around $110 million.
Bloomberg was able to make these financial assumptions based on balance sheets that Yeezy's team showed Bloomberg. The balance sheet has the music mogul making an additional $122 million in cash and stocks and close to $2 billion in investments such as Kim Kardashian's underwear line "'Skims".
With this amount of wealth, it puts Kanye at the top of the list for Black billionaires and makes him the richest Black person in U.S. history. It's great to have Black folks up there in the billionaire list, now it's time to get Black folks up there with Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk and Bill Gates. That time will come soon, until then, we can give Kanye his props for his money moves.
